Exchange 2007 and Domain Migration
We have an existing Exchange 2007 installation. Our AD domain structure is a 2003 functional parent/child domain structure. In order to simplify things we want to create a new single domain and migrate everything off the child domain to this
new domain, preferably a Server 2008 domain.
What Exchange Server considerations must take place prior to migration? Am I looking at a whole new Exchange server implementation? Does 2010 allow for domain migration?
Thanks in advance.

Hi think you should use
Active Directory Migration Tool for this.

Hi
Just like Shafaquat wrote, you can migrate the users with ADMT
And then you have cross forest migrate the mailboxes, that can also be done by the native tools
I did a post about it

I would definately suggest that you look at Quest Migration Manager for AD and Exchange -- Their concept is "Zero Impact".
I used these two tools for a scenario similar to your execpt it was for a corporate acquisition.
To make a long story short -- We cut over from one domain to another + a new Exchange Farm and only took 3 service desk tickets from end users.
They didn't even know that we did anything to their machines.
